The first appointment takes approximately 45 minutes, with a full case history taken prior, done remotely at the moment to cut down on face-to-face time during the pandemic. A physical assessment will be done before discussing a care plan and commencing treatment if appropriate (please visit the covid-19 page to see working changes during the pandemic). First appointment cost is £70
The case history includes a detailed account of current and past symptoms while the physical assessment includes orthopaedic and neurological testing, to help identify the condition. Treatment is through clothing at the moment therefore please wear loose fitting garments, trousers, shorts or leggins for example but please avoid wearing jeans if possible.
The working diagnosis will be discussed and if appropriate and agreeable, a treatment plan and chiropractic treatment will follow. In the event further tests are needed or if referrals are required, communication with your GP may be needed.
Further visits cost £55.00 and last approximately 30-35 minutes when progress and response are closely monitored (Please visit the covid-19 page to see working procedure changes during the pandemic). The amount of treatments needed will vary depending on the condition as previously mentioned, but this will be constantly assessed and discussed at each visit when Maurice will be happy to answer any questions or queries. Purely as a guide, an average of 2-6 treatments may be needed but this will be discussed after examination on the first visit. With constant monitoring, the time between visits typically increase as treatment progresses and some individuals frequently continue to come every few months as a preventative measure after their condition has resolved.
If you are unsure whether your condition can be treated by chiropractic care, or you just want to check out the clinic and practitioner, you are welcome to come for a 10 minute assessment called a “Spine Check”. Although it won’t be possible to make a diagnosis in this time, it may be possible to give treatment advice or subsequent referral. The £15 cost of this visit will be deducted from the initial treatment cost if treatment is possible and you decide to proceed.
